Mit der Nationalhymne äussert man die Liebe zum Vaterland. Stolz auf die Heimat und Vertrauen in die Nation. Keine andere Melodie wird darum von den Menschen mit solch innerer Anteilnahme gesungen wie ihre eigene Nationalhymne, aber auch keinen Melodien soviel Achtung entgegengebracht wie den Hymnen fremder Völker.
